Loopholes of retreat: Prayer before birth
http://loopholesofretreat.blogspot.com/2006/10/prayer-before-birth.html
A commonplace book in which I collect interesting prose and poetry I come across in my reading. Friday, October 06, 2006. I am not yet born; O hear me. Let not the bloodsucking bat or the rat or the stoat or the club-footed ghoul come near me. I am not yet born; console me. I fear that the human race may with tall walls wall me, with strong drugs dope me, with wise lies lure me, on black racks rack me, in blood-baths roll me. I am not yet born; provide me. I am not yet born; forgive me. With strength aga...

A commonplace book in which I collect interesting prose and poetry I come across in my reading. Saturday, February 02, 2008. Sonia: Well, what can we do? We must go on living! We shall hear the angels, we shall see all the heavens covered with stars like diamonds, we shall see all earthly evil, our sufferings swept away by the grace which will fill the whole world, and our life will become peaceful, gentle, and sweet as a caress. I believe it, I believe it. Posted by Maxine Clarke. From a post on Petrona.
Loopholes of retreat: October 2006

A commonplace book in which I collect interesting prose and poetry I come across in my reading. Sunday, October 22, 2006. Long wont to roam. Helen, thy beauty is to me. Like those Nicean barks of yore. That gently, o'er a perfumed sea,. The weary, way-worn wanderer bore. To his own native shore. On desperate seas long wont to roam,. Thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face. Thy Niad airs have brought me home. To the glory that was Greece,. And the grandeur that was Rome. Lo, in yon brilliant window-niche.

Loopholes of retreat: An unfound door
http://loopholesofretreat.blogspot.com/2006/10/unfound-door.html
A commonplace book in which I collect interesting prose and poetry I come across in my reading. Tuesday, October 03, 2006. A stone, a leaf, an unfound door; of a stone, a leaf, a door. And of all the forgotten faces. Naked and alone we came into exile. In her dark womb we did not know our mother's face; from the prison of her flesh have we come into the unspeakable and incommunicable prison of this earth. Which of us has known his brother? Which of us has looked into his father's heart? Long wont to roam.

PayPal Loopholes
So many loopholes so much fraud. Thursday, January 24, 2008. PayPal At It's Worst. Luckily for me I only have two PayPal horror stories. My total loss was around $300.00 plus I lost both items. So essentially the total loss I have received from PayPal is closer to $600.00. More and more people are finding out about these loopholes within PayPal and are taking full advantage of them. They buy an item, file a claim with PayPal and get fully refunded. It really is that simple. Links to this post.

In search of stories that slip through the net. Jamie’s 5th blog A Curious Friendship. August 20, 2012. One bright morning otter slinked up out of the river to go and pay a visit to his friend owl. He came to owl’s oak and knocked but there was no answer. Owl was fast asleep. Otter whistled and chirped and listened but there was still nothing. Finally he tried a loud squeal, all to no avail, and so he went disappointed back to his pools. Next morning otter awoke and again decided to try and see owl.
