Central Louisiana: 100 Years of Photographs and Illustrations. New in October 2014! The Louisiana History Museum proudly announces the release of “Central Louisiana: 100 Years of Photographs and Illustrations”. This 2-volume DVD set features hundreds of photographs of Alexandria and Central Louisiana from the 1850s to the 1960s. DVD Volume One is 41 minutes long and features photos from the 1850s to 1920s. DVD Volume Two is 52 minutes long and highlights photos from the 1920s to the 1960s.

Now I know that’s a hell of a statement to make, but if you think about it, it’s more than true. Yet they squeal like hog’s in a farm-yard when ever the subject is brought up. Our local education system is at best only moderately effective. I sincerely belive our education level is probably 10th grade and that is pushing it.
