Lindners in China: July 2013
http://lindnersinchina.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 29, 2013. This past weekend we celebrated Matthew's third birthday! It's hard to believe nearly three years have gone by since he joined our family! For those who would not join in during the eating of the treasure chest, we also provided a mousse-ish chocolate cake we bought at a bakery (It's called Ali's Bakery.) I [Abby] think I was the only one who didn't have any treasure chest cake, simply because the mousse cake was just too good to be replaced by the likes of a cake with frosting.

Lindners in China: March 2014
http://lindnersinchina.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2014. Watch out America, Matthew is coming! 3 years and 4 months ago Matty was brought into our lives. 3 years and 4 months later, our family has gone from 6 to 7 (I had to count out each of us on my fingers to figure that number out). And now with a U.S. Visa in his passport, we have the ok to head back to America! Once his little feet are firmly planted on U.S. soil, America gains one more U.S. citizen. He's a great addition if you ask me but I may be partial. Zachary learned to walk.

Lindners in China: June 2013
http://lindnersinchina.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 26, 2013. I mentioned in the Meat Market post that I was going to (in two to three days time) upload a seventeen minute video featuring our apartment complex. Well, that didn't happen in the time I was anticipating. I uploaded it four times before it failed in processing. The fifth time is a charm. :D It worked this last time. Sorry for the twelve-day wait. In reference to the name: Emma and I are LINDner KIDS. Lindkids.). Friday, June 14, 2013. Saturday, June 8, 2013. Our New Foster Child.

Lindners in China: August 2013

Thursday, August 15, 2013. A Few Days in the Mountains. A Chinese friend we met in Xi'an, Sissia, asked us if we would like to go to the mountains with her for a few days last week. She said she would pay for everything - how could we say no? Things have been a little stressful lately and this would be a great respite for our family. We had a friend come to take care of Zachary while we went away. The mountain air was beautiful. Emma looking for fish. The river was clear and cold. The hotel seemed to be ...

Lindners in China: April 2014
http://lindnersinchina.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 3, 2014. 14 Fears of an Unknown Friend. The day of their 14th birthday, orphans all over China face the same fate, according to Chinese law they can no longer be adopted into a family. They "age-out" of the system. These children have been on our family's heart for quite some time now, and the burden and heartbreak has been even stronger over the past year. 14 Fears of an Unknown Friend. 1 The dark, esp. when alone. 2 Not fitting in. 3 Disappointment and Denial. 4 Being Ignored, Forgotten.

Lindners in China: Heading Home
http://lindnersinchina.blogspot.com/2014/07/heading-home.html
Friday, July 4, 2014. July 8. This is not an extraordinary date, nothing national scheduled for this day. Any holidays are restricted to small areas of the world. Off the top of my head, I can think of nothing happening on July 8. Oh wait, yes I can. July 8 is the day we leave China. That is right, my friends, we have a departure date and it is only four days away. After three years and eleven months, uninterrupted, knowing when we're leaving, instead of vague comments that we should. Once we step out of...

Lindners in China: October 2013

Sunday, October 13, 2013. Things That Happen On Our Walks. Hello, blog readers! So, yesterday Baba, Matthew, Zachary, and I went to buy peanut oil (we had to go all over the place because no one near us had any, which is weird as they use it often in Chinese cooking). After about thirty-maybe-more minutes, we found it in a big crowded market. Small bottle for 35 yuan. BUT that's not important. He asked me to take some pictures whilst he was playing, which I did. Saturday, October 5, 2013. He is scheduled...
