http://thessfaridnia.blogspot.com/2010/07/fight-of-lifetime.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. The fight of a lifetime. It feels like its time for me to say something about my family. my sister in particular. A little over a week ago, Sheila was diagnosed with cancer. can.cer. can.cer. i've repeated that word slowly, i've yelled that word at friends. i dont know what to do with that damn word. what i do know is that there is still fight left in her, which means there is still fight left in me. and for that i am thankful. The SS Faridnia: October 2010
http://thessfaridnia.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. I know it has been a long time since I gave an update on my sister, and for that I’m sorry. It has been a crazy few months. Shortly after I wrote last time I got a call that Sheila was back in the hospital and going in for emergency surgery the next morning. I quickly bought a ticket for the next morning. And then the surgeon came back with the pathology result. Of the 24 nodes she removed, zero came back positive. ZERO! Also, while I was in California I gave Sheila the book ...

The SS Faridnia: October 2011
http://thessfaridnia.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 11, 2011. It was around the time of my birthday and that always gets me thinking about my life. What am I thankful for? What ebenezers do I need to make to remind me of what God’s done in my life over the past year? What dreams do I have for the coming year? God isn’t calling me to settle for a hum-drum life…and I think letting the Father paint a big dream for me is where it begins. So I started praying for an adventure. And not have anything to come back to? How’d they turn out? My frie...

The SS Faridnia: December 2010
http://thessfaridnia.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 13, 2010. There are so many stories to tell from my recent trip to Europe. Let's call this part one. We flew from Portland to Frankfurt. Our layover (which was literally all of 15 minutes) was in Houston. Luckily our plane was only a couple of gates away or we wouldn’t have made it. The 10 hour flight went better than I expected. My roommate loaned me her travel pillow and with that and earplugs I was able to sleep a lot more than I thought I would. Links to this post.

Two Wheels And A Fly Rod: A Rare Opportunity
http://twowheelsandaflyrod.blogspot.com/2010/01/rare-opportunity.html
Two Wheels And A Fly Rod. Thursday, January 14, 2010. Well, a unique opportunity has presented itself to me. Something I have always wanted to do. I have a chance to ride a motorbike across the country, from east coast to west coast. But before I get into that, let me give you a little history. For this reason I am honored to have been asked to guard something that led to this great opportunity I mentioned earlier. He's asked me to watch over his motorcycle. His only motorcycle. His brand new...Well, Im ...

Two Wheels And A Fly Rod: January 2010
http://twowheelsandaflyrod.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Two Wheels And A Fly Rod. Saturday, January 30, 2010. The Beginning: Part Deux. The Beginning: Part One briefly mentioned my great friend E. R. Sprague. And a little shout out to him. I quickly switched to a back story. And never came back around. By then it was 2 am on Friday morning and decided to instead of fix it, I would call it part one and follow it up with a part deux. Tying it all together. This is part deux. At this point, five years later, is when I ran into Eliot. R. Sprague. And simultaneous...
