Kitchen Joys: Blueberry Pie
http://mykitchenjoys.blogspot.com/2013/07/blueberry-pie.html
Wednesday, July 17, 2013. This recipe is written on an old faded recipe card that was given to my mom years ago. It's been my mom's standard (and perhaps only) blueberry pie recipe. This past weekend when my sister's family came to visit, I made this pie from our own freshly picked blueberries. Everyone loved it, even my niece and nephew who claim they dislike blueberries! 5 cups fresh blueberries. 1/4 tsp. salt. Slightly sweetened whipped cream. August 5, 2013 at 8:20 AM. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1Corinthians 15:58. Saturday, September 27, 2014. It was time to take this elm tree down. It didn't leaf last year or this year. Elm trees are gnarly hard wood- a bit hard to cut. David Becker and David Bascom (a logger) came over with their chain saws to fell this big tree for us. (Notice the leaves behind the tree). Cut, Cut, Cut! You ar...

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1Corinthians 15:58. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Rebecca came up with the children to spend a few days this week. Whenever they come the time is always busy doing a little of this and a little of that. Often times "The Little People" don't get to spend much time with 'Grandma' - ME! A stop at the grocery finished up our shopping list.

http://mykitchenjoys.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2010. Here is another summer squash recipe that I made to use up that surplus amount of squash. =) Everyone liked it; even those who don't care for squash! 2 teaspoons chili powder. 2 cups grated cheddar or Monterey jack cheese. 6 cups diced summer squash. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 1/2 cups diced onion. 3 garlic cloves, minced. 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh hot peppers or to taste. 2 cups diced tomatoes - we had picante sauce on hand, so that is what I used instead.

Kitchen Joys: November 2010
http://mykitchenjoys.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Café au Lait Bars. These are those wonderfully delicious coffee bars that everyone raves about once they’ve tasted a bite of them. First dubbed, “Nathanael’s coffee bars” because of my brother’s love and fascination for them, they were later simply referred to as “those scrumptious coffee bars” that everyone asked the recipe for. So if you haven’t tried the café au lait bars, now is the time! 1 ½ cups sugar. 2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 190; cup butter, melted. 189; teaspoon salt.
