His brother acts in the movie and was heavily involved in it production. So I assume it has a high degree of accuracy. It was nothing liked I expected. It is not a sugar coated story of a plaster saint. The film shows Mullins with enormous strengths and enormous weaknesses. Rich was a gifted musician and a prolific song writer.
