Tuesday, 30 June 2015. RHS Hampton Court Flower Show 2015, part 2. Why would you go to a flower show – for the the gardens, or for the plants? It’s true that some people go for the experience. 8211; event and retail marketing seems to be all about ‘experiences’ and ‘destinations’ now – but while these are animals I can identify in a crowd, quaffing their fizz* and seemingly more interested in being seen than in seeing. Hens in the Garden. Tales of chickens, cats, a tortoise and the garden they share with us. 2006-7 photos (First diggings and planting). Here are the cats. Nurseries. Pictures added as and when. There was very little in the way of planting here when we came - some was grim and I’m afraid went on the bonfire if a new home couldn’t be found. Anything original is marked (O).

Charing Gardeners' Society - Advice: Pruning
http://charinggardeners.org.uk/pruning.shtml
Your garden is bountiful. It's overflowing with plants but if you're not careful they'll take over the house too! Most plants are pretty resiliant when it comes to pruning but there are a few simple rules to follow that will help you avoid disasters with favourite plants and keep them looking good. For most shrubs the best time to prune is after flowering. We will also run a fruit pruning workshop and when the date is set it will be posted on the events page. Kevin Giles: Plants at The Swan.
