Watercolors by Joan 2: Sketches
http://watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com/2015/08/sketches.html
Watercolors by Joan 2. Monday, August 10, 2015. I did a few sketches at the beach and pool recently. These were done directly in ink.no pencil. I didn't bother adding color since the paper is so crummy, but they were fun to sketch. The ink forces me to really look and see what is behind what. August 11, 2015 at 6:46 AM. These sketches are so much fun. Thanks for sharing. August 11, 2015 at 11:28 AM. Thanks so much, Jo! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Https:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Val van der Poel.

Watercolors by Joan 2: Hummus
http://watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com/2015/08/hummus.html
Watercolors by Joan 2. Thursday, August 13, 2015. My friend was having work done on her car today, so I picked her up when she dropped off her car and we had about 2 hours before she needed to go back and get her car. We drove around the local area looking for something to sketch where we would be sitting in the shade. We found this restaurant with the colorful umbrellas outside. August 13, 2015 at 6:14 PM. What a nice way to spend your time waiting. Love the outcome Joan! August 13, 2015 at 10:28 PM.

I haven't made it to portrait sketching in a while but I did last night to find this handsome gentleman as our model. One of the older ladies in the group saw him in a local restaurant and sent the waitress over to ask him if he would model for us. lol He was really a good sport and told us his wife is an artist so he supports the arts. Watercolors by Joan 2. Monday, August 31, 2015. Sketching on the LIRR. On Saturday I took the LIRR into the city to meet the NYC Urban Sketchers. I got a good seat going in and was able to sketch a few people. This lady was busy doing crossword puzzles all the way to the city. I wonder if she was doing the NY Times puzzle.after all her t-shirt said "genius.". These ladies were all friends traveling together. They had accents, but I'm not sure where they were from. Watercolors by Joan 2. Monday, May 18, 2015. Paintout at the Lighthouse - Part 1. We started out with an overcast day and it was windy and cold. I bundled up and just hoped my painting wouldn't blow away. I did tape it to my support on my easel just in case. Here is the painting that I did. This is about 6 x 15. Here is the view that I saw. And here I am all bundled up.ready for anything. In the above photo you can see my friend, Gina, standing and painting on the ground off over my left shoulder. Julie,...

Watercolors by Celia Blanco: October 2012
http://watercolors-celiablanco.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
A Little About Me. Wednesday, 31 October 2012. Why watercolors is my medium of choice. I remember the first time I came in contact with watercolors was in high school. My beloved art teacher, Sr. Helen David, gave us a demonstration on how to use the medium. She magically moved her brush around while explaining effortlessly what we needed to do. Lo and behold, a few brushstrokes later appeared a charming lake scene. She made it look so easy! A canvas. I don’t need studio space, most of the time...Regard ...

A Little About Me. Friday, 28 June 2013. Just Peachy" watercolor on paper 9".5 x 9".5 inches / 24 x 24cm. I find the DPW painting challenge a good place to turn to when you feel you are lacking a direction in what to paint. This week, the focus is on composition. There are a lot of excellent points on things to keep in mind which I tried to incorporate. You can check that out by clicking here. The Creation of Adam" Michelangelo. Daily paintworks weekly challenge. Monday, 24 June 2013. Put your hands up.
