Maize Hutton: The Crocheted Flower Wedding Bouquet
http://maizehutton.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-crocheted-flower-wedding-bouquet.html
The Crocheted Flower Wedding Bouquet. This gurl finally finished the wedding bouquet. The bride loves it. Lots and lots of hand crocheted flowers. One down, four more to go! For those of you who've inquired how I did this, I cut a styrofoam ball in half and then covered it in lace using a hot glue gun. I also covered a styrofoam cone in lace. Patterns for a couple of the flowers are here. The small five petal flower (my fave) pattern is:. Make a magic ring. The leaf pattern is:. I'm over here now.
Maize Hutton: Use an Electric Mixer to Wind Yarn!
http://maizehutton.blogspot.com/2015/01/use-electric-mixer-to-wind-yarn.html
Use an Electric Mixer to Wind Yarn! After this idea came across my feed on Facebook, I 'bout fell outta my chair! I had to give it a go. I already have a yarn winder but this goes so much faster and works great with leftover yarn from a skein. I didn't have a hand mixer (mine's the big Kitchenaide lug), so I picked one up at the thrifts for a few dollars. Cut a small slit at the end of the roll, slide it on the mixer head attachment and attach the yarn to it. Store up on those toilet paper rolls ladies!
Maize Hutton: Crochet a Teacup Pocket-Free Pattern!
http://maizehutton.blogspot.com/2015/05/crochet-teacup-pocket-free-pattern.html
Crochet a Teacup Pocket-Free Pattern! This gurl thrifted a cardy vest thingy and decided it was in desperate need of some pockets and teacups seemed like a cute addition. I remembered seeing the knitted version. Yet I couldn't find a pattern for a crocheted version, so here ya go! You can also use this an an applique if you wish and lil' embroidered details would be perfecto. Download the printable PDF here. Yarn and a hook that matches the size of the yarn. Needle and thread to stitch it to your garment.
Maize Hutton: Frayed Flower
http://maizehutton.blogspot.com/2007/08/frayed-flower.html
You'll need a strip of fabric, needle and thread, scissors, button and a pin back (can also use a large safety pin). Pick out some fabric you like which frays really easy. Depending upon how big and thick you want your flower, cut a strip of the fabric. Mine is 1 inch wide and 44 inches long. If you want your flower smaller, don't cut it as long or as wide. Fold over one end and secure it with a stitch. Flip it over and start a running stitch along the bottom of the strip of fabric. Now, go make one!

Gabli Musing: "Ahhh" moments...
http://gablimusing.blogspot.com/2013/07/ahhh-moments.html
After a day of seeing the needs and meeting the needs, this is my journal to slow down and take it all in. What I muse about…. Gabli Musing on Gardening. Gabli Musing on the Holidays. Gabli Musing on Crochet. Gabl Musing on Etsy. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Our party desserts. There are addictive swedish fish inside the jello. The kids got to make their own little islands in a cup. When I come to quiet, I find many "Ahh" moments right here at home. Leave a comment and be polite please and thank you. Recipe...

I really had fun with this project. The editors from Yahoo! Asked me to write an article on how to make swimsuits for kids. I think I came up with something better. It was also a perfect excuse to munch on tacos and lechon manok. Will post a step by step tutorial soon! Frugalities of a thrifty mom. There was an er...

Thoughts, tales, tips and tricks of a wife, pseudo stay-at-home mom, arts and crafts enthusiast, dog lover and a martha stewart wannabe. Sunday, June 1, 2014. Frugal Finds at Merriam and Webster. Thank God it's June! I never thought that I'd actually hope for June to come. Normally I'd wish for summer to last forever and really hope that the month of June (er. back-to-school dread) never to come. Needless to say, we had a busy month of May. Greeted me on the first floor of the building. From Uniwide....

Thank You and Goodnight. The time has come for this gurl to retire her lil' blog. I've been blogging since 2004 and 11 years is enough. I'm too busy doing other things. I've been sewing Dottie Angel frocks for myself. Even made a few hats. I've been painting canvases. Bubby even joined in. I have a new grandson 'Lucky Boo.'. Bubby is extremely proud of his lil' brother. So I'm wrapping this up in a cute lil' package with a bow on top. Thanks for stopping by over the years. Havin' a ton o' fun! Repeat R6&...
