Sarah in Burkina Faso: December 2008
http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Thursday, December 18, 2008. Yesterday I was accompanying a group of farmers which came on a study visit. We went out to one of the villages we are working in to see how the farmers there were doing. There was more than that to see however. while studying a waterpump at the edge of the water someone suddenly noticed a couple of crocodiles staring at us from a sand bank a few metres away! Not I, he says…. Thursday, December 4, 2008.

http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2010/05/long-time-no-write.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Long time, no write. It supprised even me, to see that since november I haven't written a single word on this blog. For the month of december I feel I am exempt, due to travelling around Europe to visit family and friends, but for january, february, march and april? In an attempt to short-story some of what has happened during the past months:. As if mondays are loveable as such. That's all for the moment, take ca...

Sarah in Burkina Faso: Houseguests
http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2009/09/houseguests.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Friday, September 25, 2009. Living in Burkina Faso means tolerating a certain amount of unwanted houseguests. ants, cockroaches, crickets, lizards. they all live in with me, but don't think they pay rent! This week I painfully discovered I have new houseguests, ones I hadn't met before. I woke up in the middle of the night being bitten hard by something in my bed.ouch! Then it bit me again, double-ouch! Ouahigouya, Burkina Faso.

Sarah in Burkina Faso: May 2009
http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Sunday, May 10, 2009. Since I got here in November I haven’t seen any rain. Well, ok, there was some kind of dropping activity two or three times, but nothing worth calling rain, really. Coming from Belgium, a country using its extreme rainfall as a touristic attraction (t-shirts saying “in belgium it always rains”, yes, they exist! I shouldn’t complain, right? Whoever would have thought? Monday, May 4, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. I don’t have the heart to chase them away! I think I’ll borrow the motorcycle for a couple of weeks. :-). Saturday, July 4, 2009. A day in the life. I thought I might describe a normal, regular day of life here in BF. In some aspects, it doesn’t differ so much from all of your lives. Then again, other aspects do :-). 5h50: alarm clock, my neighbours making noise, cocks crowing, and the sun warming up the land.

Sarah in Burkina Faso: April 2009
http://sarahgoyens.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sarah in Burkina Faso. My life and work in the north of Burkina Faso. Sunday, April 5, 2009. March 8th is the worlds day for celebrating women. March 22nd is world water day. What do these two have to do with eachother? I joined a course on gender in drinking water provision, sanitation and hygiene at CREPA (Centre Regional d'Eau Potable et Assainissement) in Ouagadougou to find out more. After an introduction to the concepts and issues in gender and water, a field trip was organized in order to allow us...
