We never know when goodbye will come but this was our day to tell dad goodbye. He did not have a good day physically. And was in bed all day but he did get to meet his first great great grandson. After his visitors left and before his caregivers came in to help him turn over he left us. How thankful we are for that. Goodbye Dad. I love you. Do you hear it? I love you dear".

We went to visit friends overnight and even though it was a fast visit it was good and relaxing. It was a little sad though as they have moved to Arizona and are here closing their house and getting it ready to sell. Monday, October 13, 2014. I've been perfecting my pasta making technique lately. I finally got an entire batch to run through my vintage pasta press! It's so easy to get the dough too dry or too wet and I've had it clog up the press more times than I want to say! Most of my tomato plants are done for the year but this 6-foot tall Sun Gold bush is still producing its small and oh-so-sweet yellow cherry tomatoes. They almost melt in your mouth! Saturday, December 13, 2014. Woke up to this slight frosting of snow the other morning. It was gone by noon. Seasons come and go here from my perch at Pink Gardens. One of my Christmas cactus blooms in front of a ceramic beer stein, a bowling trophy of my Dad's from the year I was born. My angelwing begonia is going strong, 12 years old now.
