How we do it. Back to Where We Work. Despite a national resource boom, Mongolia is ranked 110th of 182 countries in the Human Development Index, with growing inequality identified as a major barrier to poverty reduction. Social franchising
http://www.mariestopes.org.au/how-we-do-it/social-franchise
How we do it. Social franchise networks, like our BlueStar network, help to organise the private sector by providing training, supplies, branding, marketing and quality assurance to service providers, such as single-operator midwives. We enable them to expand their range of services for instance, to include long-term contraception on a commercial basis, which means they can continue to offer these services into the future. In 2013, we estimate Marie Stopes International networked with over 3100 providers.
