Saturday, November 26, 2011. Def Poetry: Jill Scott. Friday, November 25, 2011. Pipilotti Rist at the Cinema Manzoni, Milano. Yesterday I took in this intallation by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist. The Cinema Manzoni, a beautiful but out of business movie theater built in 1947, was filled with her work. From outside, looking through the huge glass doors at the entrance, you see the underpants chandelier titled Cape Cod Chandelier. The best was upstairs! Sunday, November 20, 2011. Sunday, January 27, 2013. Green tea ice cream -to die for. View from Morgan's studio on W39th Street. Lisa Hoke on top of the New Museum, where we saw Rosemary Trockel exhibit. Gray near her Times Square office. Same view form 37th floor. Gray and I are on the lower left of the giant Times Square screen. It felt like getting a tan standing in front of so much light. Genuflecting while taking this picture.Boite en Valise. Warhol's Rorschach painting-remind me to steal this idea. Amazing piece.

Friday, April 29, 2011. Visit to See Heather McReynolds. First Heather took me to Philip Taaffe at Gagosian, then to the Unilever Series, Ai Weiwei at the Tate Modern. The Taaffe paintings were impressive. In Heather's words, "Only he could pull off combining tie dye and Islamic Motifs, without resorting to kitsch". I couldn't photograph the Taaffe work, but took some pictures of the sunflower seeds. After that we had a bite to eat and hopped on a ferry to see the Susan Hiller exhibition at Tate Britian.
