Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Third Time's a Charm. Not When it Comes to Deployment. Not long after life got back to “normal” with all of DD’s reflux and sleeping issues, we got the news that my DH would most definitely be deploying…for a year, 9 months, who knows. The whole past year it was always on the table so it did not come as a surprise. I was just so busy trying to be a mom that I could not even think about a deployment. DH had done a few TDY trips while DD was a young infant, and we survived them.

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: November 2014
http://seasonsoflifeforamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. This flight would bring him back a month. Earlier than was expected. I was overjoyed at the news, not just to have my husband home sooner, which would be reason enough. This earlier timeline would also mean we would have more time before PCSing, and it would be right around my daughter's 2. Deployment was much tougher in many ways, God redeemed it. He gave me back that month that I lost in the 2. Deployment by bringing my husband home an entire month earlier in the 3. Had I n...

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: October 2013

Thursday, October 24, 2013. During deployment, it is always helpful to have things to look forward to. For me, this usually involves a visit from family or close friends. In the past 3 months, DD and I have been blessed with 2 visits – one from my mom and the other from my college roommate and dear friend, who is really closer to a sister. DD very happy to play with Grammy. Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Trying to have fun while sick. Well, about 6 weeks into the deployment, I found out! So what did I do?

Thursday, November 14, 2013. How God Deals with Fear. As I began to analyze what was happening, I started to think of ways I could break free of the oppression. I couldn't stay like this. I had to do something! 8211; and prods me to apply it diligently, even when I don't feel like it. It's a work in progress. I'm a work in progress, but I feel so much lighter and praise Him for His intimate involvement in my life. He sees me, and He sees you too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). How God Deals with Fear. Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: September 2013

Saturday, September 14, 2013. What a Difference a Week Makes. While it's true that you want to keep your husband as involved as possible, it's not always easy when you have to make a split-second decision. And at the beginning of a deployment, there is a lot of adjusting to this new pressure. You can't just call or text and find out what he thinks. It's all up to you. Ready for church.nap or no nap. Then I walked into the sanctuary and found a spot for solitary me. Then wouldn't you know? Over the next s...

Monday, February 27, 2012. Where is the Good in Goodbye? About 3 days leading up to Matt’s actual deployment date, we were still trying to make the most of every moment. Yet in the midst of that, duty called. Although I wasn’t working, Matt was busy getting last minute preparations together for the General, including shipping his car and packing his small house where he lived as a geographical bachelor. He knows what is best for us always. Last deployment, this took the whole day. Sure enough, he signed ...

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: April 2015

Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Reintegration, PCSing, and the Start of a New Season - ACS. When my husband returned from his third deployment, we were overjoyed to see each other. Since he came home late at night, our daughter was already asleep in bed. The next morning was filled with excitement, as I watched her reunite with him for the first time since R&R.7 months ago! There were no boundaries on when work began and when it ended. It just seemed to take over! My emotions did the same. I was not happy....
