I think it is because the UAE, or at least Dubai and Abu Dhabi, are geared towards tourism. That is where they get a lot of there money from. This is one reason they are more westernized than other Islamic countries. They want westerners to be comfortable there. I also felt like they found a good spot between conservative and liberal in their laws. I agree with you!

They do buisness with TDIC and they build custom yachts for the rich and famous. The yachts their self were beautiful but what was not beautiful was the racial divisions between the workers in the facility. Did you know that Dubai is one of the few places where people get away without paying staff? Dubai Day 7-Fedex & French!
