We had a nice river, shade trees and a lot of fun. Jared taking the kids over the rapids and down the river. I attended a seminar in Seattle (Tukwila, actually) on Friday morning, March 14, so I flew in Thursday, and rather than leave right after the seminar I decided to stay until Saturday and visit one of my favorite cities. Chieko decided not to go this time, because she wants to save pennies to buy stuff in Japan later this year. These pictures are not in chronological order. I had been planning a bike ride, this February day was turning out to be so warm, but the woodpile sounded like a lot more fun. Things that are going on in the Johnson Family! Saturday, January 11, 2014. Cody got a bunch of backpacking stuff for Christmas so the guys (Barry, Cody and Jason) decided it was a good time to go try it out. They hiked the Buffalo River Trail (BRT), which runs along the top of the Buffalo River. No river crossing required. They started in Ponca and ended in Erbie about an 18 mile hike,which included one nights rest in a tent along the way. Frost flower. They were everywhere in the morning.
