Meandering McArthurs: Canberra
http://meanderingmcarthurs.blogspot.com/2010/05/canberra.html
News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. First order of business today was to move to another van park - somewhere a little more 'family friendly'. While packing up to leave, our stay in this park was capped off by an old guy who drove straight into our car's bullbar trying to 'get around'. No damage to us, but he had a busted headlight. Strange place. First up we took a guided tour that gave us a great overview of some of the highlights in the memo...
Meandering McArthurs: The Outback
http://meanderingmcarthurs.blogspot.com/2010/05/outback.html
News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Monday, May 24, 2010. Day 66 Darlington Point to Mildura. After a quick look at the Murrumbidgee River near our camp this morning, it was time to push on again. Our plan for today was to get to Mildura and the closer we got to it, the flatter and dustier it got, we could feel the outback bearing down on us. Today it is a dry lake, but the weather patterns have over time created a 'lunette' (crescent shaped land formation that used ...
Meandering McArthurs: April 2010

News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Friday, April 30, 2010. Day 43 Sydney to Moss Vale. After a lengthy packup, we had one last dip in the Narrabeen baths before turning the van south towards Moss Vale. We had to negotiate the van through Sydney traffic which was a bit hairy at times, but we managed to get through it unscathed. Kiama was our lunch stop overlooking the 'blow hole'. Unfortunately there was no blowing going on today so we only got to see the hole. From ...

News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Friday, May 14, 2010. Rest, relaxation and reading was on the agenda for Steve and I today - leaving the kids to fend for themselves! Luckily, they had a wonderful creek and bush to explore and were more than happy, although I don't know how they could get in the cold water. They also tried to catch some yabbies (no luck though). We had a great spot to enjoy the day. The creek on one side. And the mountains behind us. However, the ...
Meandering McArthurs: More Outback Adventures
http://meanderingmcarthurs.blogspot.com/2010/05/more-outback-adventures.html
News from the McArthur family as they caravan their way around Australia. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Day 70 Broken Hill to Mutawintji National Park. Before leaving Broken Hill today we visited the Royal Flying Doctors Service. It was fascinating to learn about the history of this service and the clever visionaries that developed it. We never fully comprehended the special role it plays until today. We got to hear a re-enactment of a call from 'Maggie' about her injured husband. It's a nice spot, the worst ...

The Meandering Matriarch | AKA: Suellen Carey-Clarke
Who Is The Meandering Matriarch? Posted by The Meandering Matriarch. Asymp; 10 Comments. Well, once again I am hoist with my own petard. Or, put another way, I am foiled by my own plan. I try to remain philosophical on these occasions, but sometimes it’s harder than others. This is one of those times. Not just because it will be more than a little costly, but because I was a bit emotionally attached to the items in question. Or the crystals not crystally enough? Has to be replaced, but my favourites.

About Maya’s Meandering. July 28, 2015. I Still Choose This. Check out other slices each Tuesday at https:/ twowritingteachers.wordpress.com/. Smiling faces friendly greetings. Lots and lots of meetings. The excitement is here. For a new school year. A few days ago, a former student and her sister (college and high school) came by to see me. Both are considering teaching, and both have had several teachers try to talk them out of the profession. Not this teacher. Yes, I still choose this. July 21, 2015.

Meandering McLean | The thoughts of a husband, dad, pastor and sports fan . . .
The thoughts of a husband, dad, pastor and sports fan . . . Disclaimers and Comment Policy. No this is not some special quiz that is given only during Lent or a special medical test that doctors perform during this season. Instead, it describes the practice of intentionally setting aside time for the regular examination of our conscience and our consciousness as discussed by Marjorie Thompson in Learning Forgiveness: A Lenten Study from The Thoughtful Christian. The exploration of examination did not end...

meanderingmeadow | the story of us
The story of us. September 20, 2016. September 20, 2016. So, I have to write and figure this out. Because it doesn’t make sense why God would allow this to happen to her. I’m heartbroken. Over her. Over the world. When I was younger, really young, maybe even in high school, I remember thinking and even saying out loud, I’d rather be dead, than raped. The thought of it was so scary – living life afterward seemed like such a horror that it made more sense to me to just die. Filled with vengeance and rage.
