Our Wonderful Eyes: Feed the Birds (and the little boy in the corner)
http://ourwonderfuleyes.blogspot.com/2011/01/feed-birds-and-little-boy-in-corner.html
Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Feed the Birds (and the little boy in the corner). It only took the critters about 24 hours to eat up all of the bread that I put out. It was SO cold that this particular little bun was pretty stuck to the twig that it was hanging on. A lovely female cardinal waiting for her turn at the feeder. Meanwhile, Silas found a new little spot to squeeze into. I kept calling him Little Jack Horner although he was eating honey mustard pretzels instead of Christmas pie.

Our Wonderful Eyes: April 2010
http://ourwonderfuleyes.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 8, 2010. Peach Jam from Dove Farms. Well, maybe the word "farm" is used a bit loosely. Dove is referring to the name of our street. Regardless! When we were taking our first tour of our soon to be first home, we were shown the lovely little tree in the middle of the back yard. We were told that it was a peach tree and it actually produced a decent amount of peaches! Up in the tree for them. There we had it! It turned out so delicious! Enjoy some white peaches from his very own backyard th...

Taking a Bite Out of the Big Apple: October 2009
http://sydneynyc.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Taking a Bite Out of the Big Apple. Saturday, October 24, 2009. With a long five days of nothingness ahead of me I searched to find something to do around the city and what did I find? And it was free! Sunday, October 18, 2009. Let Mama Marry Mama! A rainbow appeared in the sky about 10 minutes into the march! One of my favorite signs, "Jesus hung out with 12 guys and a prostitute. He was more like me than like you.". Sunday, October 4, 2009. Where Did September Go? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Taking a Bite Out of the Big Apple: April 2009

Taking a Bite Out of the Big Apple. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. This past weekend, Stef and Amanda visited from Chicago. The three of us went to high school together and still keep in touch, so they decided to come out to NYC for a few days. They lucked out on some goregeous summer-like weather and we all had a blast. The city skyline at night was beautiful and it was even better since it was free! Here are Amanda, Stef and I before leaving the dock. My freckles are out in full force now! Last night I fin...

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. After meeting up for lunch with Auntie Megs and Gramma Lynn at Windy City Red Hots (the best dogs and italian beef this side of Lake Michigan! We headed North to Temple Hall Farm. Of course there was the usual pumpkin picking. Once again this year they had a HUGE and tricky corn maze we wandered through - cheated a few times to find our way out too :-) At one point we climbed up a bridge and there was corn as far as you could see in all directions. Welcome To AJ's Adventures.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Vegetarian No More (or how to flat roast a chicken). Silas tried his first bite of chicken a couple of weeks ago. And then he tried another bite and another bite. He loved it! You have to be careful to not add much sodium to your baby's food. It can make their organs work overtime to process it and we don't want that! Brace yourselves. Here we go. Weird name but a great method for roasting a chicken quickly. Mad Hungry - Feeding Men and Boys. By Lucinda Scala Quinn. If you move it ...
