In 2005, members of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church (UMC) and other Wisconsin United Methodist churches formed Mission Bells Ministries, a 501c3 non-profit company. Before Mission Bells was formed, Pleasant Valley UMC was sponsoring the Christian Disciple Farm and Festival but as the camp continued to grow each year the church could not continue to support the camp on their own.
