Why The Hell Not? Hello all and welcome once again to my ranting. Today’s post consists of something that pissed me off yesterday, well it’ll piss me off forever, but I put it off for today. So I was discussing grants with a friend that spurred on a general consensus, not just between us but many of my other friends and colleagues as well. At this school, when a professor gets a grant to fund their research the school takes an overhead out of between 30 and 40%. THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS! March 4, 2010.

When checking in at Taipei, the flight attendants told us we would have to pick up our luggage at the San Fransisco airport; they could not be checked through because the 12 hour layover was “too long” to hold our baggage. I’ve been sleeping just fine, but a persistent headache has stuck with me since arrival. I am disoriented, shaky, and just feel rough all over.
