Willard Family
http://www.mjgen.com/willard/1willard.html
The 3 Willard crests shown here were for some Willard family in England. It has the motto: Gauet Patientia Duris, meaning, Patience Endures Hardship, or Patience rejoiceth in hardships. The crest on the right is a little different. It belonged to a different Willard man. One of these crests probably belonged to. Willard, Esquire, Eastbourne, County Sussex, England, from the time of Edward III, 1327. The Maryland Germans: A history. 1948, by Dieter Cunz. A History of Shenandoah County, Virginia. Shenandoa...

Joseph Lindesmith
http://www.mjgen.com/lindesmith/2joseph.html
Son or grandson of Daniel Lindenschmidt. Joseph's birth and death dates (born 19 March 1751 and died 10 June 1817) came from the Official Roster of the Soldiers of the American Revolution Buried in Ohio, Vol. 1 (published 1929) (no source for these dates is listed). However, the dates may not be right:. Joseph's will is dated 9 July 1814 and the date of probate was 7 March 1815. His pension records also say 1815. My comments are in brackets . According to Eli W.J. Lindesmith (in green):. But there is a.
Lindsey
http://www.mjgen.com/lindsey/lindsey.html
Origin of Name: probably Norman. The Lindsays are celebrated for their literary talent, Sir David Lindsay of the Mount in Fife, created Lyon King of Arms, was a poet and reformer, and Robert Lindsay of Pitscottie was famed as a witty although unreliable historian. Our part of the family may have moved to Ireland and thus became part of the Scotch-Irish (as one family story goes). I think that this family came from Ohio to Missouri, but can't find any more information on Nathan (if that is his name).
Momenteller Family
http://www.mjgen.com/momenteller/momenteller.html
The head of this family was probably Jacob (or Felix or Ira) MUMENTHALER. He was born about 1780 probably in Switzerland or Germany. I found a Johann Jacob. Mumenthaler born Feb 26, 1656 in Auggen, Loerrach, Baden, Germany. This is 100 years too soon, but perhaps the family was from that area. He had sons named Felix. His daughter, Rosian named a son Jacob and a daughter Barbary. And his son Jacob used 3 names for his sons: Jacob, Felix &. He married Barbary Ann? In 1819 they were on a sea voyage to Amer...

Martell Gee Family
Monday, February 10, 2014. Dad asked me to write his “Chapter 6” post for him. I'll admit that I have been putting this off because this is difficult. Dad has always had a sense of humor about his adventures and never complained, so I feel that I should follow in his footsteps, but feel so inadequate to do so. Thank you for sharing this journey with him and with his family. We look forward to hearing the rest of his “Chapter 6” when we meet again. With editing help from siblings). This morning he rallied...
