Painting the Roses White: Chalkboard Plaque
http://paintingtheroseswhite.blogspot.com/2011/09/chalkboard-plaque.html
Wall decor always poses a challenge to me for some reason and the nursery wall decor was no exception. I fell in LOVE with these little vintage chalkboard wall hangings on the RH Baby website and so I ordered the large rectangle one with a special spot in mind to hang it! Credit: RH Baby and Child. I admit they are a little off but it just add...

Painting the Roses White: October 2010
http://paintingtheroseswhite.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
It's that time of year again! Witches, goblins, vampires, ghosts, and ghouls! Carving pumpkins, the smell of ginger and spice, and foggy nights! My favorite excuse to tell ghost stories and watch a favorite spooky movie every night! We watch scary movies a lot any way for fun, but when I know Halloween is coming up we literally have a scary movie marathon as a sort of a countdown! I was searching online for some Halloween inspiration and my favorite arts and crafts are always found over at Martha Stewart!

Painting the Roses White: Nursery Inspiration
http://paintingtheroseswhite.blogspot.com/2011/09/nursery-inspiration.html
One of the most exciting things I can think of is waiting until the day your baby is born to find out if it is a boy or a girl! Since we don't know the gender of our baby I set out to create a very neutral nursery that would be perfect for our baby boy or girl! One of my all time favourite decor stores is Restoration Hardware and so I have to admit I clocked many many hours on the RH baby and child website collecting ideas and inspiration for our little nest! Creating Girl(s): schubLaden
http://creatinggirl.blogspot.com/2011/03/schubladen.html
Sunday, March 20, 2011. My design dream is to own something, anything, made by schubLaden. Their pieces are amazing - they use vintage drawers in new furniture, giving simple pieces of furniture like dressers and TV stands so much personality. This company out of Berlin has a few items available for sale on their site, plus two other options. You can use one of their designs and request a piece, or you can work with them on a custom design. Whichever way you go, every article will be unique!

Creating Girl(s): September 2010
http://creatinggirl.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. Looking for the perfect lotion. I love shaving my legs. But I hate getting out of the shower afterwards. As soon as there isn't water on them the skin gets so tight and uncomfortable. It's like I get razorburn no matter how good of a shave I get. I swear I've tried a million lotions but haven't found the perfect one yet. Suggestions? Sunday, September 5, 2010. Images from livingetc.com &myhomeideas.com. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Creating Girl(s): Warmth in a pot
http://creatinggirl.blogspot.com/2011/01/warmth-in-pot.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Warmth in a pot. It's winter and comfort foods are what it's all about right now. There is a soup that is my fave from Olive Garden, and I've stumbled across this version. Of it at CD Kitchen. It's so good and hearty. I introduced my mom to it as well and now she will say "if you're making that soup again." So - today I made the soup and called Mom. "You make the biscuits, I'll bring the soup - see you for dinner.". 12 small spicy sausage links. 3/4 cup onions, diced. We are ...

Creating Girl(s): August 2010
http://creatinggirl.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. I adore this alphabet print by Anna Bond - it's available at Rifle Paper Co. and SO cute. It would look great in the little man's bedroom. Pics from the Rifle Paper Company. We love cloth diapers. Cloth diapers are one of the biggest money savers when it comes to all the expenses a new baby brings. Over the course of a year they can save literally hundreds of dollars (instead of disposable diapers) and they're so much cuter! Picture from theluvyourbaby.com. Monday, August 2, 2010.

Painting the Roses White: January 2010
http://paintingtheroseswhite.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
And I need YOUR help! Once again I have to apologise for being the worst blogger ever.but I must say that life has been quite hectic lately! Since Nathaniel had just recently added laminate to our living room before he left, the existing laminate wasn't ever an exact match to the new laminate in the living room. So I will be honest and say I do think this is a blessing in disguise because now instead of having 2 different laminates on our main floor, we get to have one seamless matching floor! Large vari...

Painting the Roses White: DIY Sheet Music Art
http://paintingtheroseswhite.blogspot.com/2012/07/diy-sheet-music-art.html
DIY Sheet Music Art. Since we kept the gender of our baby a surprise we wanted to have gender neutral art for our baby's nursery. My whole pregnancy I was drooling over the Restoration Hardware nurseries when I saw an idea that caught my eye! I thought this was perfect for a boy or girl nursery. The ones on the RH site were $1195 for the set of 6 framed prints of 18th century sheet music art. All in, I paid less than $75 total for all 6 of my DIY version. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
