Home and Diary

Arriving at the Faroes. Driving France to Denmark. We’ve spent the last three years away from our house in Suffolk in the UK, wandering through Scotland and France and lots of Morocco in our Unimog camper called Moglet, mostly detailed on www.moglet.co.uk. And www.mogletinafrica.co.uk. On 14th August 2011 we left central France to travel 2000km north to Hirtshals in Denmark, with a ferry booked for the 20th to Iceland, via the Faroe Islands. Herdubreid and lava fields. Breakdown in the snow!

The handsome chap with the beard is my other half, Jason. Im sure hell want to write something about himself at some point, but in the meantime, Ill sketch you an idea of what hes like. Hes an outdoorsy, getting his hands dirty kind of chap, fixated by all manner of new things -. From mountain biking to knife making, scuba diving to Daoism. If theres a thing to be learned, hes there! That’s also him below with his good mate Rich, getting very muddy on one of their numerous forays into Wales on big BMW’s.

Moglet in Africa, independent overland trip from the UK to South Africa

This page last updated 27 August, 2011. Well who’d have thought? Yep, that’ll be yet another Moglet site revision then! I make that five so far, but who’s counting! After much head scratching and trying to figure out how to make the navigation on the previous site work properly, Jason had the brainwave of throwing the whole damn thing in the bin and creating a separate site for the Africa trip, rather than trying to fiddle with the main site.
