The v099 Party Pak. On Mon, 08/17/2015 - 17:57. This is a bit of a grab bag and in the spirit of bad 70's compilation albums not all "hits" are performed by the original artists. Bank 1: EQHQv5, A remake of the EQHQv2. I've taken advantage of the longer filters so the passband edge is now above 20kHz, and stop band edge is at 22.5Khz. Bank 3: Low Delay v4, very slow roll-off and with no concerns about aliasing, plus much lower stop band attenuation that 1 and 2. Bank 4: NewNos. Yes, that one.

More testing, and the joys of Chip Quik splatter. On Sat, 07/18/2015 - 16:33. I'm a big fan of using ChipQuik for desoldering SMD components but it has a nasty habit of spreading tiny slivers of solder on the board unless you are very careful. Even with fresh eyes it took 30 minutes of close inspection with a magnifying glass to pick up two small slithers of solder shorting out two of the ceramic caps on the signal lines from the FPGA to the shift registers. So the DAM lives to fight another day.

Prior to killing the DAM1021 with a botched regulator upgrade I'd made a number of minor modifications, some of which made a difference others which were a bit pointless in my system. On the other side of the equation dirty power and ground will still potentially influence the level of jitter in the rest of the system, and clean supplies for the op-amps will not hurt either. Add bypass cap to 3.3V regulator. PSRR of 144dB(typ) vs LME49710 125dB(typ). CMRR of 137dB(min) vs LME4...

Beware the 3.3V regulator. On Tue, 06/30/2015 - 08:38. Check, check, and triple check. I had a rather major catastrophe yesterday, when trying to fit one of mravica's 3.3V regulators to the DAM board. The pinout matches a 78xx regulator which has a different order to the smd reg used on the DAM. So the take home message here is: be very, very careful with the 3.3V reg and mods in this area. On Mon, 07/27/2015 - 17:39. I'd been having a play with a couple of different approaches based on commercial products a couple of months back, and decided to have a fresh listen today. Basically this is a short, slow roll-off style filter, with low group delay. 441 Khz, 0-17.00Khz -0.00009267dB, 28.00Khz -130.66dB, 249 taps, group delay 351us. 480 Khz, 0-18.50Khz -0.00009704dB, 30.00Khz -130.26dB, 255 taps, group delay 330us.
