Return to Kitale: July 2014
http://returntokitale.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Team One Is Home and Looks Back - Carolyn Pollock. Although Team 1 is safely back in the US after about 30 hours of traveling from Cairo, I thought I should do a final post before Team 2 begins their blogging. That was difficult because Dr. Rose was not able to get the last of the dental instruments sterilized, and things put away as nicely as she had hoped. We made it safely, (although with another flight delay), to Cairo on Sunday morning, the 25. We were awed at the Cairo mus...

Sunday, October 9, 2011. Culture, Thoughts and Reflections. All things aside things have been getting accomplished. The floors have now been finished, the electrical work was completed on Friday, ceiling boards have been finished in the offices, and the interior door has been hung although its door handle still needs to be fitted. Next week most of the painting should be under way and if things go well the fascia boards will be started. Here I am Lord, but will I stay? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Esse Quam Videri: For my dad: you weren't there, but then you were
http://raydsmith.blogspot.com/2015/06/for-my-dad-you-werent-there-but-then.html
ESSE QUAM VIDERI: LATIN MEANING "TO BE RATHER THAN APPEAR TO BE". THIS PHRASE HAS GREAT IMPORTANCE TO ME AS I LEARN TO BECOME VULNERABLE AND SHARE MY TRUE HEART AND SELF WITH OTHERS. THIS BLOG IS A TRUE SHARING OF MY HEART. SOMETIMES IT MAY BE LIGHTHEARTED, WHILE OTHER TIMES IT MAY BE SERIOUS AND HEAVY. IN ANY EVENT, I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY MY THOUGHTS. Sunday, June 14, 2015. For my dad: you weren't there, but then you were. You weren't there the day I was born. You weren't there for my first words. You we...

Return to Kitale: February 2013
http://returntokitale.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 23, 2013. I have been praying and looking for an affordable pick up truck to help in the process of finding getting supplies to the site, Lord willing one will turn up soon. He has also been working on converting the hospitality room into a usable kitchen, which has been a really great addition for daily life. Jeff and Terry have run a 2” waterline out to the clinic and connected the line to one of the existing tanks. And plastering has began. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, September 1, 2012. This week the kenyan scaffolds were set up, as well as a ramp that will be used to get wheelbarrows of concrete from the ground up to the second floor. The forming work continued, most all of the beams are now completely formed and so is the shuttering work for supporting the slab while it is wet. Also the steel work has been started. Return to Kitale

Friday, July 18, 2014. Hi everyone- - -it’s me Caroline McKay:. Exciting, exciting, exciting! Doing dental work on these children is such a huge blessing! So, our plan was to have more children’s teeth taken care of today but God had other plans- - seems that has been the case since the beginning of this mission trip. So, the construction project is coming along slowly but coming along just the same. But the dentistry is happening as quickly as dentistry happens. Just to see these children smile and get ...

Return to Kitale: Day Six -- Team One
http://returntokitale.blogspot.com/2014/07/day-six-team-one.html
Sunday, July 20, 2014. Day Six - Team One. Team One – Day Six. Blogged by Bill Pollock. Today is Sunday and a change of pace. Some who were still in need of rest stayed at In Step. For the rest of us it was a day trip and a celebration. We took a trip to the Johabeto Home to be part of the dedication with the Martin Shikuku family of their new campus. Four years ago our teams came to Kitale to help build new dormitories for the orphans that Marin and Ruth had taken in. Each of the members of Team One who...

Thursday, September 15, 2011. Sorry for the length of time since the last update. The progress has been continuing but not all that visual over the past two weeks, while bricking up the gables but inside and out and filling the gaps between the trusses. This week the interior walls have finished being plastered and are ready for paint! Fascia boards have started to be primed today by a few of the TI interns and will be ready to go up soon. Return to Kitale: A new year
http://returntokitale.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-new-year.html
Sunday, January 12, 2014. Once again the time has escaped me somewhat unnoticed. Around here there is always so much to be done, and so little time to actually get it done because something more important seems to pop up on a semi daily basis. So what has been going on since august? Put tow of these together for the dorm. The floors upstairs in the dorm has been completed. A slab for a basketball court has been put into place and just needs to be swept off and get the hoop set up. Finished full court slab.
