The pier (or boardwalk) extends out over beautiful marshland with beautiful views. The water looks like it carves out the sea grass (or vice versa? And it's really cool-looking. The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Yup, it's another beach post. Surprise, surprise! I wasn't sure if it would or not. That's one of our favorite things at the Cape! In smooth water you can make your own concentric circles. My shadow on the left is huge- I look like an oddly shaped giant! Rocco and John were basically playing a game of "fetch," in which Rocco would throw the ball as far as he could into the water and John would go retrieve it.

Last summer we finally went to Mayflower Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches on Cape Cod. It's a hard beach to get into because the parking lot fills up so fast due to its popularity. I'm just going to call it that from now on because I like saying it that way. Obviously it's not ours, but it's the one by our house that we go to the most often, mostly in the evenings as a nice way to finish up the day. It's our beach. Sam brought a boogie board and had so much fun running with it along the beach. I don't think I'm ever going to tire of these views.

The Doll Sweet Journal. Attempts at good living and self-awareness. Sunday, June 21, 2015. My First Whale Watch. Last summer, my mom, Sam, and I went on a whale watch. For Sam and I, it was our first time doing one of these. And I'm happy to report that it was awesome! We went in the morning when it wasn't too hot, and the weather was clear and nice, and we had some really good whale sightings. It was so much fun! We used Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises. Sailing out of Barnstable. They did a good job.
