Wednesday, October 12, 2011. To read an interesting critique and thought provoking pictures regarding the West's often misguided desire to help the developing world. I have seen too many of these pictures in person and wondered about the usefulness and potential harm of even well-intentioned efforts and donations. However, the one that takes the cake for me in this critique are the clowns sent to help kids with PTSD. In my experience, clowns only cause or aggravate PTSD! They are plain weird and scary!

For the j of the Lord is your strength. Monday, October 24, 2011. 10 years ago, Katie Loveland and I stood in the Spartan stadium cheering MSU to its first football victory over U of M in years. We scored in an amazingly heroic catch with 0.0 seconds on the clock - which caused the stadium to erupt in the loudest applause I have ever heard (or been participant.). Note the centerpiece Jock in the Box. That's now in my living room :P). Coach Dantonio before the big win. LOVE being a Spartan.
