http://alfordsinchinablog.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. Max weeks 8 and 9. Links to this post. My plan was a super early run this morning, but amazingly the VPN is working on my computer so I have to jump on the chance to blog. There's a lot on my mind. WON Care. That's the ministry I am involved in now. In fact, it's a ministry that my fellow teammates want me to lead, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. yet. I was amazed at how God opened up the doors for us to go into the bars and how willing they were to talk and make relatio...

Alfords in China: November 2014
http://alfordsinchinablog.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2014. I don't know." That has been my most repeated phrase since we landed in Omaha in July. That is the only answer I've had for every question regarding our future, and I'm sick of it. I don't know what I thought coming back to the US would be like, but I didn't imagine it would be like this. When I did I grow up? Feeling: Sad and depressed because I feel aimless and lost in my purpose now because we aren't in China, and we don't know what to do next. Links to this post. Girltalk...

Alfords in China: January 2013
http://alfordsinchinablog.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 16, 2013. It's already 17 days into the new year, but it's time to take note of some highlights from 2012. Though I feel like I say this at the end of every year, 2012 was a whirlwind year of change. The girls and I spent January and February in the USA with family. It was wonderful to be with my parents in KY for a month, and then get to finally. In April Chris moved to Shenzhen to get things rolling for his new job with Starbucks! In June we moved to SZ, and boy was that crazy! June ...

Alfords in China: What you say really does matter.
http://alfordsinchinablog.blogspot.com/2014/02/what-you-say-really-does-matter.html
Monday, February 17, 2014. What you say really does matter. We all know that what we say matters. Most of the time that's a theoretical thought, but then sometimes it hits you like a punch in the face. I don't share much about my work with the ladies in the red light district on this blog, but I wanted to share this story because I think it might be encouraging if you feel like nothing you do makes a difference. Friday, September 7, 2012. More Elephant Camp pictures. Links to this post. Chiang Mai Elephant Camp. Chiang Mai has a lot of really fun things to do. During this trip we decided to go to the Mai Ping Elephant Camp. This place was so much fun and amazing. The elephants are trained to do many things including paint pictures! I'm not kidding. We watched a fabulous elephant show, and then the girls and my parents went on an elephant ride. I decided not to since I thought it might be labour inducing:).
