A journey through my life with hormonal migraine. Tension headache to migraine vicious circle. April 1, 2015. Tuesday wasn’t a bad day, I had a dull pain the needed aspirin but nothing further. I felt like I had a tension headache which I think had been caused by days on days of pain. I was careful to sleep on my side on Tuesday, the back of my head is so tender from all the migraines and headaches that putting any more pressure on it felt like it might trigger another. I had been suffering with a sinus cold which was contributing to my headaches. I had also been suffering with a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck which lead to tension headaches. A journey through my life with hormonal migraine. I first sought treatment for my hormonal migraines approximately 3 years ago. I’ve tried quite a number of treatments so I thought I’d list some of them in a separate page for those looking for some pointers. Most importantly, go and see your GP and have a chat about options. Beta blockers. They didn’t work for me, we tried higher and higher doses until I was getting chest pains. They weren’t effective for me unfortunately. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

I woke up in pain again, really snotty nose as I went about my morning which improved after a while. The pain started at the back of my head and crept around front.
