January 7, 2016. January 7, 2016. The Books we Read: Working. 8220;Working” is a lovely book by Helen Oxenbury, perfect for baby’s first book collection. It’s a sturdy board book and small enough so the baby can hold it and take to his mouth since he’s at the stage where he has to taste everything. Lorenzo sits on the bed with pillows around him so he … Continue reading The Books we Read: Working. January 5, 2016. How does he behave at meal time? Is he giving his teacher a tough time? Asian Dramas and Entertainment. Review: I Remember You (Hello Monster). August 12, 2015. Another wonderful drama has just ended! At first, I wasn’t sure who was creepier: Choi Won Young’s Lee Joon Yeong or Park Bo Gum’s Min. I’d say our mysterious autopsy doctor, Lee Joon Yeong, probably was. He was another highly complex character and probably the biggest. Out of them all. It was through Lee Joon Yeong that we were able to see inside the mind of a psychopath. Boy, was it an intriguing ride! I think that...

Take Them Along: at the grocery store – villagemums
https://villagemums.wordpress.com/2016/10/06/take-them-along-at-the-grocery-store
October 6, 2016. Take Them Along: at the grocery store. Ever since Lorenzo was little I took him with me everywhere. I want him to learn things by experiencing them, so if I have the chance I take him along, even though sometimes it would be easier to go by myself. Lorenzo doesn’t ask for things yet. He sometimes reaches over to touch something colorful or shiny but not because he wants to take it home, and as a rule we don’t eat anything in the store. Do you take your children along? While he is sleeping.

First Teeth – villagemums
https://villagemums.wordpress.com/2015/12/23/first-teeth
December 23, 2015. Lorenzo got his first two lower teeth a week after turning 5 months. People tell me that it’s a bit too early, but my mom says that babies can get their first teeth at 3 months or earlier and some babies are even born with teeth…hmmm. Some mothers use teething rings that go inside the freezer and the cold sooths the baby’s sore gums. I didn’t try this one. Any thoughts on this toppic? 5 thoughts on “First Teeth”. November 14, 2015. November 14, 2015. One of the most beautiful moments of my life was holding Lorenzo against my chest when he was born. When we were deciding where and how to give birth I didn’t have any particular request. I knew I didn’t want to have a water birth, I am not at all fond of water; I didn’t … Continue reading Skin-To-Skin. November 11, 2015. November 11, 2015. While he is sleeping. Our Mirror – villagemums

January 5, 2016. When my first son Aaron started going to preschool, I always wondered how his mornings there would go. How is he interacting with the teacher and other kids? How does he behave at meal time? Is he giving his teacher a tough time? It took me some time to trust that he was ok, and to build up communication with his teacher. What are your thoughts on children learning to be more self sufficient? Do ‘kids these days’ seem less capable than when you were growing up? View all posts by Leilani.

Mothers around the world… – villagemums
https://villagemums.wordpress.com/2016/02/29/mothers-around-the-world
February 29, 2016. February 29, 2016. Mothers around the world…. I teach Italian at the “Italian course for foreign women” twice a week. The women in my class are from Senegal, Morocco and Kosovo. One day we were talking about children and singing lullabies. I discovered that the words mothers tell their babies to go to sleep around the world are so much alike. In Italy they say. 8220;fare la nanna”. And in Argentina we say. 8220;hacer noni”. So different yet so alike! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
