Homesteading and traditional food. Asymp; Leave a comment. Isn’t the greenhouse gorgeous? This week we put up some low tunnels to protect the greens at the farm. My farmer sent me home with some of the extra plastic, so I cobbled together a little something to let my carrots and potatoes overwinter…because I’m in no mood for more canning at this point. I brought home lettuce and spinach and this lovely bouquet of kale as my pay. At my friends hobby farm, the piggies have arrived! Instant Pot Potato Soup.

At least until I was finally rained out and had to retreat inside to work on trimming garlic. Back home the front yard cabbages are coming in. Homesteading and traditional food. Cream of zucchini soup. Asymp; Leave a comment. One zucchini, shredded. 1/3 cup unbleached flour. 4 cups bone broth. In a large sauce pan, lightly sauté zucchini in butter. Sprinkle with flour and cook several minutes, stirring constantly. Slowly add bone broth while stirring. Bring to a simmer and cook 10 minutes. Instead, I ended up in the emergency room and eventually ICU due to malignant high blood pressure. The dream of a transitional care for the children aging out of the Zhovten State Orphanage is almost a reality. How we do it.
