The loss of Nova Scotia’s USA 2010 tourism traffic can be directly attributed to the closure of the ferry service. The ferry services attracted 320,000 travelers through Yarmouth as recently as 2002. The Ferry service has built business and personal relations between NS and USA for over 100 years. The NS-USA Ferry can be profitable at 35% of 2002 passengers levels.
