Monday, August 2, 2010. Day 8 the Bridges of Guilin. We get up at 4:30am to make our 7:55 from Xi'an to Guilin. We are flying China Eastern again and because the hotel restaurant is not yet open they prepare a sack brkfst for us. A pear, an apple, a sandwich, a water and a cookie. Nice touch. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Day 4 798 Art district. We're on our own today no Maria, no drivers or guide just us in Beijing. We have a look in our Luxe book (its a whats cool reference guide we brought with us) and I find a boutique named Claire Fang. From what is sounds like its similar to Pam's Charm Boutique. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Day 7 the Walled City of Xi'an (She-an). Hell that even sounds cool! Today we are on our own again. Our guide and driver are with an Aussie couple today. (Thank God because she was really bugging us! The wall isn't like the Great Wall at all it much more friendly. Tales of our little family. Asymp; 2 Comments. May was a big month for me! My husband returned home from Afghanistan and I turned 30 a couple weeks later. I have already felt much older than my age for quite a while now (four kids will do that to you), so I wasn’t the least bit sad to leave my 20’s. I am loving 30 so far! New decade, new hair. I was SO nervous to cut off all my hair. The last time I did (7 years ago! The building was beautiful inside and out, it seemed too pretty to be a working factory.
