So okay, peeps here's the deal - I'm finally going to share some things I spend hours making on my computer. Did You Ever Look So Nice? Classroom Reveal, Part One). The long awaited reveal has finally come. Truth be told, my pictures aren't perfect, but if I were to wait for perfection, you may never get a reveal, you just get me packing it all up at the end of the year. I hope I don't sound presumptuous when I say "packing" but it's my fifth year at this school and I have moved every year. And so, before we begin, a quick recap:. Above: 2012-2013 school year, back in the building in my classroom. I don't know ...

Falling in Love with Comparing Different Texts. In fact, last week was my first full week back with my students and I was constantly thinking about all the great things I have learned and how I will implement them with my students. When I was growing up it would have been The Cosby Show. They suggest ...

http://www.teachwithkate.com/2014/08/teaching-is-crappiest-job-in-universe.html
Teaching is the crappiest job in the universe. August 3, 2014. Can we all just take a minute and peel ourselves away from the end of summer psychosis and admit to one very cold, hard reality? Like, pee your pants a little when you pick up a dropped nickel and spill coffee on your brand new, winter white, overpriced, Anthropologie, cashmere sweater crappy. Can someone say, "over-exaggeration"? How is anyone supposed to work like that? There is non...

Sunday, September 8, 2013. I'm definitely in my zone. August 11, 2011. Of items I made:. I made these bucket filler forms on business cards. They are sturdy and in color. The kids love them! I think the quality just makes them feel more special :). I used these punch cards last year for my class to help promote positive behavior and homework completion. Again, these were made on business cards. If they didn’t move their clip all day, they would get a punch. When they filled up a card, they earned a classroom coupon. Super cute and free! And FINALLY… T...
