May 22, 2014. There are many different way to make pap, here we make it the Pedi way, dishing it into rounds. Makes serving easier and neater. Any pot will do but ive found that the Hart pots work best as they don’t retain as much heat as the more pricier aluminium pots. Bring water to a boil in a pot. Once water is boiling whisk in the maize meal with ‘lefehlo’ (mix quickly to prevent lumping). Let it cook on a reduced heat for 10mins. Let it cook for a further 15mins. Leave for 10 more mins.
