Onboard the Gravytrain: home tour

http://onboardthegravytrain.com/2015/05/home-tour.html

Tuesday, May 19, 2015. I've lived in six Brooklyn apartments (and counting! Since living in NYC and they've all been very tiny. I don't claim to be any sort of expert on small space living, but I have learned a few things along the way. Each year I've loved pouring over Apartment Therapy's Small Cool Contest. Entries and seeing how other people manage to live stylishly in small footprints. I've always wanted to enter myself but never felt like my place was up to the challenge.until now! Kurt and I watch ...

Onboard the Gravytrain: engagement photos

http://onboardthegravytrain.com/2015/06/engagement-photos.html

Monday, June 8, 2015. Thanks for all your votes for our apartment in the Small Cool Contest. Sadly, we didn't win but had a great time competing. Maybe we'll enter again next year! In other news, Kurt and I had some engagement photos shot! Weddings are expensive, so I was honestly prepared to skip engagement photos and direct that money towards the BIG day. Luckily, I met Karen Kristian. At NYC's Big Fake Wedding. Karen is a FANtastic. Thanks again, Karen! You are a rockstar! June 8, 2015 at 5:40 PM.

Onboard the Gravytrain: April 2015

http://onboardthegravytrain.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 1, 2015. I miss that place! Kurt sat at the beach while I browsed some shops and searched for some good photo ops. Positano was truly one of my favorite parts of the trip. I can't wait to go back sometime! Sadly, we finally had to pack up and leave to catch a bus to Salerno. Thankfully that ride wasn't as harrowing as our arrival! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Onboard the Gravytrain: November 2014

http://onboardthegravytrain.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 17, 2014. Back in early October, Kurt, Erik, Silvia, and I took a quick weekend trip down to Washington D.C for a football game. It was the weekend before Kurt and I left for Italy, so we probably should have packing, but Kurt had been looking forward to watching Ohio State take on Maryland ever since he heard they were joining the Big Ten a couple years ago. You only live once! While the boys went to the game, Silvia and I did some site seeing around D.C. We saw the Capitol Building.

Onboard the Gravytrain: March 2014

http://onboardthegravytrain.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 31, 2014. This weekend, Kurt and I hosted the latest installment of the "Off" cooking series with a Ball-Off! Normally, the challenge is centered around a particular ingredient (see Beet. Or a certain dish (see Dips. Best Overall: Buffalo Chicken Balls with Blue Cheese Dip. Best Savory: Arancini al pesto. Kurt (his first win! Best Sweet: Oreo Balls. Liz and John (double win! I made Kale Bacon Feta Balls which were pretty good (I got a few votes! Monday, March 24, 2014. Monday, March 17, 2014.

Dog House 12: 2011.02

http://doghouse-12.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 25, 2011. Warning, photo overload. I'm trying to document this all step by step as best I can. You know, so I can hopefully. One day and stuff. But there is soooo many steps. Hence the photo overload. Fold the burlap over the arm, so it's not hanging out all scraggly. Also, staple a piece of burlap over remaining holes along the side of the back. (Burlap is typically used so that cotton stays in place.). Then stuff the sides around the seat springs with cotton until the seat is flat.

Dog House 12: 2012.10

http://doghouse-12.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 18, 2012. The big day finally arrived! Our shiny new countertops are officially installed. The day actually arrived almost one month ago now, but because we ran off and got hitched I'm just now getting around to sharing! P was nice enough to let me fly off to Birmingham for prewedding preparations while he stuck around supervising the install. And A dishwasher. I can't even tell you how excited I am about that. More pictures to come! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fly Through Our Window.

Dog House 12: Bandwagon: Chalkboard Paint

http://doghouse-12.blogspot.com/2011/08/bandwagon-chalkboard-paint.html

Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Did you know that new refrigerator's that are counter depth and not ugly are expensive? Here it is in all its glory. First I removed the handles. I decided they didn't need to stay because you can open the fridge by grabbing the door, and they were ugly. After one coat of chalkboard paint. I'm debating doing a third coat. I don't know why. It looks fine, and the can didn't specify, but maybe I read on some other blog that three coats was recommended? Fly Through Our Window.

Thursday, April 28, 2011. There are no words. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. A Southern Rural Wedding. A couple of weeks ago we made the trip down to Alabama to see two very good. Get hitched. It was an amazing wedding and was great to see friends and soak up some 90 degree weather. Ok. I felt like I was going to melt. But it was still awesome. The ceremony was held under the pavilion in Perry Lakes Park. After the "I dos" we took a stroll across the bridge. And down the boardwalk. After I carefully climbed ba...

everyday I’m tilin’ | eleven02glen

https://eleven02glen.wordpress.com/2012/10/07/everyday-im-tilin

Everyday I’m tilin’. I guess I should clarify that when I say “I,” it really means Joey…. Since this project commenced during the early parts of my first trimester, I was beyond useless [aka.asleep]. But hey, at least I got some pictures of the process, right? That’s a victory in my book. Last you saw our kitchen, we had some tile backer up on the backsplash between the countertops and the upper cabinets. This is the same stuff that went down below our floor tile. Now, just keep going…. It’s a good...

{L.L.with.Cool.J}: Birthday Weekend

http://llwithcoolj.blogspot.com/2012/05/happy-tuesday-wasnt-it-so-nice-to-have.html

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Wasn't it so nice to have a long weekend! We spent our weekend celebrating two birthdays. Josh turned 30 on Thursday and my 27th birthday was Friday. My friends and I have been discussing this age, and I am sad to report that I am officially in my late twenties. We spent lots of time eating this weekend and exploring our new neighborhood. For Josh's birthday we got amazing greasy hamburgers at Kuma's Corner. In Logan Square. It was so so so good! In Lakeview. So fun! Osh I am an Ar...

Friday, February 6, 2015. I turned over the next to last card. It was the witch. It was my card. The one the deck always chose to represent me. Next to it already sat the knight of swords, a kind young man that I would soon meet, and next to him was the man hording his gold coins, the four of coins. I knew this represented the person responsible for the situation I was in. I was so angry with Papa at first that I could barely speak to him. Yet, I had heard of worse fates for girls like me. I had ...I was...
