Introspective exploration through running. Is this a race or a party? February 6, 2015. I finished 2 minutes and 16 seconds shy of my goal of 3 hours 30 minutes. I was 130th in my age group. 982nd overall out of almost 20,000 runners. Not too bad for my first marathon, but I knew that I could do better. Introspective exploration through running. Baby steps for 62 plus miles. February 26, 2015. I was fortunate enough to be accompanied by Robin. On the 99. We checked into our Motel 6 in Auburn and went back out into town to pick up my race bib at the Auburn Running Company. I was up at 430, later than usual, but we were close and the start time had gotten pushed up from 6 to 630. I had a light breakfast of nuts and a banana, showered, and packed up for my day on the trails and we head out to the race start.
