The Samaritan Women: St Mary's "WARRIORS" !
http://thesamaritanwomen.blogspot.com/2008/10/st-marys-warriors.html
Monday, October 27, 2008. Who says Sundays are for relaxing when there's a chance to serve? The youth from St. Mary's Egyptian Coptic Church in Savage, MD uprooted rocks, dismantled a furnance, hauled cinderblock, stripped wood and painted ceilings. If our success continues to be measured by how dirty we got, it was another GREAT day! THANKS ST. MARY'S! And leave it to our Freecylers- Beth and Kevin- to score a computer for the office! The Samaritan Women: The Spirit Moves Us!
http://thesamaritanwomen.blogspot.com/2008/10/spirit-moves-us.html
Saturday, October 11, 2008. The Spirit Moves Us! We were blessed with fantastic weather and a seemingly tireless spirit. THANK YOU ALL for such a productive day. Thanks to Bethel for buying all the pizzas and St Mary's for all the drinks and snacks, and Beth and Ruth for all the home-cooked goodies. And thanks most of all for each of you who put your hand into this work and gave selflessly. November 19, 2008 at 7:02 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Samaritan Women: December 2008
http://thesamaritanwomen.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 19, 2008. I’m sorry we weren’t able to pull off a Christmas party for the volunteers. Trying to have “holly jolly” in a house with no heat seemed like a lot to ask, so we’ll celebrate our work in the spring. Here’s hoping that you have a glorious Christmas and happy New Year. MAJOR NEWS – two of our most faithful volunteers, Beth and Kevin, just got engaged! We’ve got several new partnerships forming. The Burtonsville Baptist Church. Open Doors, and the Gabriel Network. We continue to wr...

The Samaritan Women: June 2008
http://thesamaritanwomen.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 20, 2008. Upward Bound Kids at TSW. About 50 high schoolers from UMBC's Upward Bound. Program gave their service hours to working at The Samaritan Women. The guys cleared decades of brush out of the driveway and even learned how to create a genuine "Abe Lincoln" fence! The girls were painting mavens on the porch! There was no shortage of work to go around. Thank you UMBC for setting this up! Sunday, June 15, 2008. On June 13th we hosted a team from Southeast Christian Church.

The Samaritan Women: Pray for NO Rain
http://thesamaritanwomen.blogspot.com/2008/11/pray-for-no-rain.html
Saturday, November 15, 2008. Pray for NO Rain. We did get the grant from the Maryland Historic Trust. To replace the roof and the guys from Our House. Are plugging away at the tear-off. But the weather is not being as cooperative. Pray there's not much damage to the exposed roof, but especially for the safety of our workers! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
