Tuesday, November 29, 2011. I don't know about you, but our holiday included brothers, moms, great food, apple pie, sightseeing, and naps at Ram's Gate winery. Hope yours was good, too. Sunday, November 20, 2011. A cabin in the woods. Sometimes you need a cabin in the woods, changing leaves, and mini fried chicken sandwiches. We rented a cabin just outside of Healdsburg in the Russian River Valley, made a few stops at our favorite vineyards and had a family lunch at the Fremont Diner. What a goof.}.

Monday, October 11, 2010. We are very fortunate to live close to a wonderful lake for hiking and swimming. Earlier this summer during a naturalist guided boat tour of the lake, we discovered that one of the coves was named Tarantula Cove. Then last week I heard from somewhere that the tarantulas were out and about at the lake now. So when we entered the park, we asked the attendent about the tarantulas. He told us several things about the spiders so when we were hiking we were on the lookout for them.
