Allotment Adventures with Jean. Growing vegetables on one small allotment. Brazilian Spinach thrives in the Brisbane summer. By Allotment adventures with Jean. I put my allotment to bed for our long hot summer under a blanket of horse manure and a thick layer of mulch. However, a small cutting of Brazilian Spinach (Poor Man’s Spinach) really took off. You can also propagate it by putting a cutting in a jar of water and it will sprout roots. I add this spinach to soups, stir fries and frittata but I also ...

Allotment Adventures with Jean. Growing vegetables on one small allotment. By Allotment adventures with Jean. I thought I would be planting like mad as this is the time to really get stuck into the garden for our best growing season but we have had tropical storms and driving rain for days and the ground is waterlogged. I stuck in the big fork and heard an unmistakeable “squelch”. Not a good idea to plant seeds into that. Here are some of the entries. It might give you a clue. Must have taken her hours.

May 29, 2015. Life is full of uncertainty right now. I honestly don’t know what the future holds for us and our family. This last year has tested me in every way. All I can do right now is to cherish the present and be thankful for all that is good in our life. Every day, I am trying to remember that God is in control even when everything seems out of my control. Even though I can’t see past this chapter in our lives, I know He can. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? God is in cont...

Allotment Adventures with Jean. Growing vegetables on one small allotment. A new growing season. By Allotment adventures with Jean. At last there will be something to write about happening over at the allotment now that we are starting our best veggie growing season here in Brisbane after a long hot summer. Nevertheless I found that some things revel in the heat despite my neglect. A big bunch every couple of days. I’ll be doing my own seed-saving so I can pass on the seeds. A visit to Green Harvest.

Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Lots and lots of photos. When Kristy Evans, Editor of Scrapbooking Memories, asked if I could create a layout using 12 or more Travel Photos on a double layout, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Having come home from a trip to America earlier in the year, I had plenty of pics to choose from. Here is the layout I created and it is published in a recent issue of Scrapbooking Memories. Thanks for dropping by,. Posted by Leanne Stamatellos. Tuesday, October 12, 2010.

Resume of Leanne Stamatellos: School Art Cards
http://leannestamatellos.blogspot.com/2010/06/school-art-cards.html
Thursday, June 3, 2010. As always, life is super busy. And with a child at school, it seems never ending. This year I put forward an idea that I had seen at another school for fund raising. Each class was given an item to draw and then each student in that class had to draw it. I then scanned the drawings and laid them out in photoshop to create a card design. At our school , we have 20 classes in total - so I have created 2 packs of cards. So that's what I've been doing, what about you? I did this when ...
