Upon request - one chocolate cake please. Abigail just turned 9 years old. She's growing up! We had a small celebration on her birthday with her friend Hailey who turned 9 a couple days later. For birthdays, as early as Abigail's 3rd birthday, Laura Headley. Has been making a delicious chocolate cake. This year, Abigail specifically requested the cake again, since she likes it so much. Bringing down the deck. While the kids went with Beth, Alex and Nate to Chuck E Cheese, I stayed home and removed the rotted deck that sits outside our master bedroom. Hopefully, we'll get it replaced in a few weeks. Unfortunately, the work kinda wiped me out. But I'm glad it is finally done. The wood was totally rotted. Friend, will you fix my dishwasher? Our friends from Tucson (well, now Utah) helping us fix our dishwasher that suddenly started to leak water while they were visiting us. First day of school 2012. First day of school for our kids in Fremont was after Labor Day, Sept. 5th. Monday, June 2, 2008. We snorkeled, we chillaxed, and Emily is one of us.need we say more. First, on the tour, a beautiful waterfall. We learned a hula dance. Alex delivered on his promise and tried poi, didn't like it. SURPRISE! We got lei'd in Hawaii. (lame Hawaii joke, I know). Brooke on the beach. Mom and Nate enjoying the wind and surf. Progress while we are away. Wait, what happened to our driveway? That fire circle is looking awesome! The outdoor living is on its way. Closer than we imagined.

Saturday, January 8, 2011. The biggest tubes are now gone! Conner just had his two chest drain tubes removed. They just gave little versed (so he would relax and lay on the table, and hopefully not remember the experience) and morphine (for the pain) and yanked. Really. His surgeon came in during the procedure, and kept instructing the nurse practitioners to pull it out FAST. I have since been told that the speed is needed to keep air from getting in- very important! January 8, 2011 at 11:18 PM.

Thursday, August 7, 2014. Some gems from our family get away. Like two years ago, the day after we arrived we headed to Indian River for Mass at Cross in the Woods. It is such a peaceful place and I know Jake and I were looking forward to returning. The weather for the week ended up being mediocre at best. MI, what's up with you? This summer has been much cooler than normal and northern MI gets it even worse. 60's in July was not what I had imagined. BUT, we made the best of it. Friday, July 18, 2014.
