Recipe for Life

Wednesday, September 15, 2010. April 2010 to September 2010. Once again, it has been a while since I posted anything on this Blog. Since April, we have been through many exciting Spring and Summer activities. We got out in the motorhome, Harry Hurricane, early in May to Holland State Park. Holland State Park has a Beach campground on Lake Michigan. We were anxious for a warm Spring. However, we were hit with 45 MPH winds and being sand blasted. It was cold, wet, and windy. We had a couple days before the...

http://ourrecipeforlife.blogspot.com/2010/01/december-19-2009-through-january-15.html

Friday, January 15, 2010. December 19, 2009 through January 15, 2010. Well, we had a great Christmas holiday season with family and friends. However, we did not put up a tree or any holiday decorations. Things seemed quite busy just getting settled in to being home and no longer being on the road. I have had quite a bit of time each day to sit back and reflect on our journey, our future, and our objectives that we had originally set out to achieve during our sabbatical. Many of the 'Sabbatical object...

Sunday, December 27, 2009. December 13th and 14th - Heading Home. Home, Safe and Sound, after Driving 9,000 miles around the United States. We got up early and started to get ready for a travel day. Tina fixed us a nice breakfast. I got the RV on the street and hooked up the car. Once ready to roll, we went in and said our goodbyes to everyone. We had a great visit, and now it was time to make our way home to Michigan. We stopped at a Flying J near Toledo and we were able to dump the Black and Grey tanks...

Recipe for Life: January 16th to March 27th 2010

http://ourrecipeforlife.blogspot.com/2010/03/january-16th-to-march-27th-2010.html

Saturday, March 27, 2010. January 16th to March 27th 2010. Well, it has been a while since my last post. It has been quite busy. I have been enjoying working the new job for the past three months. It has been 100% travel and that gets a bit tiresome. I thought it might be 50%; meaning traveling every other week. However, it has been every week. My plane was sitting there, but I could not get on it. I was so damn upset, and mostly with myself. It was 9pm at night, and I was tired and ready to slee...I hav...

Tuesday, March 20, 2012. The Barefoot Contessa's Lemon Bars. Today's the first day of Spring, and in honor of that (despite the snow and horrible rain) I made some lemon bars. Nothing screams Spring like lemon bars! I tried this recipe, and of course it was amazing. The key is fresh lemon. They don't really set properly if there isn't fresh lemon. 1/2 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 6 extra-large eggs at room temperature. 3 cups granulated sugar. Preheat oven to 350*.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Isn't it the cutest camera bag you've ever seen? I love all the outside. Pockets, the inside padded sections, the cross body strap and most. Of all the fact that while using my camera I can leave the bag. Unzipped and simply close the bag with the magnetic flap! Love and want this camera bag now! Monday, March 16, 2009. 1 pastry shell (9 inches), baked. 2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/3 cup strawberry jam.
