Tangents. insights. stupidity. Thursday, June 3, 2010. The map is not the territory". Is a "tree", a tree? There seems to be when the ambiguity begins. A suggestion to reformulate this problem would be "John seems like an asshole to me today", or "John seems like a nice guy today". With this rewritten, we have dated and recognized the individual's existential observation, which allows if John may appear to a different mood later, which will possibly eliminate some of the ambiguity in our speech.
