No VW didn't make a big production about the Rabbit, in fact it was just there, open for anyone to sit in and poke around, pop the hood and generally climb all over. Friday, April 14, 2006. NY Auto Show has promising vehicles from all over. I've been going to the New York Auto Show since 1977 and have only missed 3 shows in all those years. Today I was not disappointed. I of course was impressedwith the Caliber, and finally saw the Compass which shares it's platform. I was also really impressed with the new VW Rabit. Sunday, March 26, 2006. Dodge Caliber, I don't usually like 5 doors, but this seems interesting. I haven't been a big Dodge fan over the years, having only owned one out of 17 cars. But the last few years have been exciting at the pentastar. Everyone knows about the Magnum / 300 / Charger triplets. And of course the Neon SRT4 was an impressive performer. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. It's possible to 30 mpg on the highway with the V-6 Camaro? I've never been a Bow Tie fan, I've been a Blue Oval fanatic most of my life. But when I read recently that the 2010 Camaro in LT trim with the V-6 can get up to 30 mpg I was amazed! Monday, March 27, 2006. Calibers in dealers now, just saw one today. I inquired about a manual transmission, and was told it would have to be ordered, so that's disapointing. And the manual only seems to be available with the base 1.8L rated at 148 hp and 125 lb ft of torque. While that's not going to win many drag races, it does indicate milage of 28 city/ 32 highway, and is more power than a Scion Xb for similar money. Good replacement to the Neon. But I've been playing with the configurations and find...
