I like his parodies on contemporary artist photographs, however his versions include subtle changes to the originals with reference to his Chinese heritage. My particular favourite example would be his parody piece of Olympia by Manet, a cute. Maneki Neko (Beckoning cat) that sits at the bottom of the nudes feet.

Monday, 15 March 2010. I have abandoned my blog for a while! Heres a quick update on what i have been up to in the studio recently. I've asked my models (as well as myself) to pose "American Apparel" style wearing Disney cartoon type clothing, the idea is to turn what is innocent into something sinister and disturbing. Architect Robert Maitland crashes his Jaguar one afternoon, marooning himself on “a small traffic island, some two hundred yards long and triangular in shape, that lay in the waste ground between three converging motorway routes”. Thursday, 18 August 2011. I've been fascinated with Pulp fiction since reading Susan Stryker's Queer Pulp; Perverted Passions from the Golden Age of the Paperback. For an essay on LGBT zines in my second year of art school. My favourite covers are probably the most sensationalist illustrations for lesbian queer pulp published in the 1950's and 60's.
