During the summer months of 2001 a questionnaire was sent out to every household in the. Village asking what the youngsters would like as a new facility. The answer was a skate park. Then the hard work of fundraising began. It was decided that the skate park should be at the playing fields and situated near to the Pavilion and next to the cricket nets.
