A thousand miles behind. Monday, October 31, 2005. Yeah, a Navy Party.". On a boat in the harbor? Yeah In the harbor.". He promised us that the sailors would treat us like royalty (which they did) and that it would be a great "cultural experience" (which it was). The party was in honor of two sailors who were going up in rank, and we were allowed to join in because.well.we were girls. Posted by Rachel @ 10:38 AM. Tuesday, October 25, 2005. It is not quite November, but there is snow on the ground in Trom...

a thousand miles behind: April 2006

A thousand miles behind. Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Han har jo ikke noe markert hakeparti. Go North, my son! Posted by Rachel @ 11:47 AM. The sun also rises. I don't have curtains in my room and I just moved my bed closer to the window. Because there's nothing better than being woken up by the sun, reaching blindly for my glasses, seeing that it is only 4.30 in the morning, and falling back asleep for another three hours. We could break rocks in half with our hands. There was slate everywhere. Ha det, mj.

A thousand miles behind. Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Watch out. takras. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and takras signs on houses. These are, indeed, some of my favorite things. Tak means roof. Ras means avalanche. Put them together: RoofAvalanche. Watch out. There are two things that I witness a lot here in Tromsø. Takras. Pass deg. Posted by Rachel @ 11:23 PM. Who you callin' lazy? 1 Didn't leave apartment on Thursday. Once on Friday. I have to say, though, that we hav...

Tribute to Bjørneboe: May 2009
http://martine-in-london.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
The Middle East is a state of mind. Thursday, May 28, 2009. And when I start I cannot stop! It just sounded nice. Nicer than other phrases tonight. I am just about to start my dissertation, while I cannot or simply don’t want to reveal the thesis, or perhaps it has not even been formulated yet, I can reveal the area of which I am researching; the Sudan. More precisely Darfur! My limits here is the word count but I suspect that this topic will reoccur on my paths in the future. Wednesday, May 27, 2009.

Tribute to Bjørneboe: This is Britain

The Middle East is a state of mind. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Sharing my life as it is, requested by Magnus å Jostein.

The Middle East is a state of mind. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Konserta e ferdig i god tid før midnatt. Likevel går det an å leve et visst uanstendig uteliv her :P. Trivelige tider i Londonstan. Det høyrtes meir ut som ein sinnsjuk draum.
