The NK 2000 Project: The Holy Grail: Euro Headlight Conversion
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2011/03/holy-grail-euro-headlight-conversion.html
The NK 2000 Project. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The Holy Grail: Euro Headlight Conversion. I didn't know much about headlight configurations when I started to explore the world of the 2000 but I learned fast. Everyone seems to think that the European version is superior in style to the American one. 1) An example of the Euro headlight version; this car was for sale in Seattle last year, photographer unknown but thank you anyway. RCW 46.37.100. A friend in Law Enforcement has told me, however, that this r...

The NK 2000 Project: Heater Valve Resto
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2015/03/heater-valve-resto.html
The NK 2000 Project. Saturday, March 21, 2015. We wondered if the whole heater core would have to be removed to fix the problem but as it turned out the answer was no. Even better, the o-ring was a perfect match for the early 2002 style, still easy to obtain. As was the orginal s-curved heater hose, which is NLA but still available from Walloth and Nesch for under 10 Euros. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Hazard Light Swtich is Installed. The NK 2000 Project: Engine Bay Comparisons
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2015/03/engine-bay-comparisons.html
The NK 2000 Project. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Here is a shot of the engine bay taken by the PO when he had the car for sale. Below is a photo of how it looks now. Lastly, here is that 1966 factory engine bay shot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Hazard Light Swtich is Installed. Refinishing the Wood Dash and Other Small Upgrades. The NK 2000 Project: The Trunk Goes Gray
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-trunk-goes-gray.html
The NK 2000 Project. Friday, July 3, 2015. The Trunk Goes Gray. Taking advantage of the hot weather this week, I dyed the vinyl trunk trim back to a reasonable approximation of the orignal gray "elephant skin.". Now the car looks like a 1960s sunglasses commercial, mostly because the wheel arches are still painted a peculiar shade of Siennabraun. This too shall change one day. The NK 2000 Project: Cleaned Valve Cover
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2011/12/cleaned-valve-cover.html
The NK 2000 Project. Thursday, December 8, 2011. Having noticed this week pictures of other engines with much shinier valve covers than mine, I decided to brave the cold garage and apply some Autosol and elbow grease to the top of the motor, as well as to the oil filler cap. A fun project with immediate gratification. December 20, 2011 at 8:46 AM. Shiny - and now for the rest of the engine :D. December 20, 2011 at 11:07 AM. Haha, very true! The NK 2000 Project: Underside
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2015/05/underside.html
The NK 2000 Project. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Life is looking pleasantly clean and dry under the car these days. Amazing what a few years of work will bring to a car. The body looks a bit crunchy, but then we all look a bit older after 50 some years. Most of the effect on the car probably due to old undercoating and ancient fluid leaks, I suspect. Not even any pesky leaks from those exhaust manifold studs! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Hazard Light Swtich is Installed. A Rainy Day Removal.

The NK 2000 Project: At last! The Hazard Light Swtich is Installed
http://nk2000project.blogspot.com/2011/04/at-last-hazard-light-swtich-is.html
The NK 2000 Project. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The Hazard Light Swtich is Installed. 1) The red hazard light switch (under the dash to the left of the odometer reset button). 2) Nowhere to connect. The only wiring diagram I have found is from a 1967 2000 Tilux. 4) The old set-up with the metal switch (visible at center-left between the wheel and the horn ring). The hazard lights work!
