Project MF Introduction
http://projectmf.org/intro.html
A trip down phone-phreak memory lane. Just What Is This ProjectMF Thing Anyway? Project MF is a living, working simulation of analog SF/MF signaling just as it was used as the standard in the public switched telephone network up until the early 90's, when most everything was cut-over by the regional Bells to the fully-digital SS7/ISDN network as it continues today. This allows a user to "blue box" telephone calls, like the phone phreaks of yesterday. So What's a Blue Box? Web site and listen to the tapes...
Project MF Asterisk Patches
http://projectmf.org/patches.html
A trip down phone-phreak memory lane. The Project MF Asterisk Patches. Project MF is a set of patches to the open-source Asteirsk. PBX system to support in-band signaling. The original patches were developed by Mark Abene, aka Phiber Optik. Since that time additional patches have been developed to make the system a more faithful reproduction of the old telephone network. As mentioned, you do not need to run your own Asterisk server to play with Project MF - you can use our public server.

(Fake) Markov Chains

Nov 26, 2016. Ok, I know I just posted about Moxon antennas, but doing an image search for moxon antennas led me to the CJU antenna. Apparently CJU stands for Canary Jail Umbrella because the author of the article who made it popular constructed it out of the tubing used in canary cages (or jails) and wire from a broken antenna. It’s designed for use talking to satellites which I am interested in, and it’s very small and looks pretty easy to build. CJU 70cm Antenna Quick and Simple. Nov 26, 2016. Anyway ...

Today we have celebrated the 25th Anniversary of 2600 meetings. There were only six of us, all "old timers" so everyone knew each other for years and it was nice to catch up on things. The meeting coincided with the Defcon CTF quals. So a lot of people were busy hacking and could not make it. After hanging out at EC4 for a few hours, we have gotten a table at the Schroeders. Secrets of the Little Blue Box. Was published in the October 1971 Esquire magazine. The article has shown how Blue Boxing. To help ...
