株式会社森村設計 －エンジニアの声－. 今回は「理想の空調空間」について書かせていただきます。 スペインではマドリードからトレド、グラナダ、バルセロナと各都市を転々とし、各都市のカテドラルを訪れました。 カテドラルに入ったときにまず感じたことは「寒い」ということでした。外は半袖で十分過ごせるくらいの気候なのに、カテドラルの中は上着を羽織ってもまだ寒いと感じるくらいでした。もちろんエアコンが効いているわけはありません。 その理由は建物外壁の熱容量が大きいため、室内側の躯体表面温度が低くなり、熱放射により熱が奪われるためです。 カテドラルは石造りで、石の熱容量は種類にもよりますが、おおよそ 500kcal/m. 倍程度の熱容量があります。つまり、石の方が 2. 倍温まりにくいということです。さらに、壁の厚みは 1m. ぐらいあったと思うので、日本の一般的な建物とは比較にならないくらい熱容量が大きいのです（日本の住宅で使用される木材や石膏ボードは200-270kcal/m3・k程度）。 Http:/ www.ptmtokyo.co.jp/.
